Missionaries
At Way of Salvation Church, we believe in equipping those who are called to the mission field to engage in life on a mission for God. We send missionaries to the unreached people groups to take the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. As of 2023, we have sent 7 long-term missionaries to seven African countries.
WILLIAM KAZAIRE TO BUNIA, DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO
William was born in Isingiro District, western Uganda, the sixth of nine children. His family struggled with extreme poverty, so he couldn’t go to school. To survive, he moved to Kalangala District and sold milk. In 2011, while living there, a group from Kalangala Pentecostal Church shared the message of Jesus with his community. On February 24, 2011, William chose to follow Jesus as his Lord and Savior.
He joined the church and began volunteering in hospital and prison ministries. In 2015, when Okoa Bible School started training church leaders, William enrolled. After finishing the two-year program, he felt called to missions and was sent to serve unreached communities in Congo.
Today, William continues his work there by leading Bible study groups in Bunia, training local church leaders, and helping the poor. He prays for land to build churches and start projects to serve those in need, trusting God to provide. Through it all, he credits God’s grace for every step forward.
AYINABYONA BORAD TO MALINDI, KENYA
Borad grew up in a Protestant family but didn’t fully embrace faith until age 22. His family faced intense spiritual struggles, and the pain grew so overwhelming that he lost hope. Feeling defeated, he decided to marry, start a family, and then “give up on life.” But after two years of marriage with no children, everything changed. God reached out to him through a Bible verse, John 10:10: “The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. I came so that you may have life—abundant life.”
At first, Borad resisted going to church, fearing judgment from others. Soon after, he suffered a serious accident that left him hospitalized for four days. Lying in his hospital bed, he prayed: “Jesus, if You save me, I’ll follow You as my Lord and serve You forever.” God answered. After recovering, Borad attended a nearby Christian crusade, where he finally accepted Jesus as his Savior. Deeply moved by God’s love, he realized that love was meant for him too. At 22, he committed his life to Christ and later led his wife to faith. Together, they began serving at GOSMA Church in Masaka.
To grow in his calling, Borad enrolled in Okoa Refuge Bible School in 2017, earning a theology diploma by 2019. Through his studies, God revealed His mission: “Make disciples of all nations, languages, and tribes.” Inspired, Borad and his wife joined the World Christian Movement program with Way of Salvation Church in 2019. By 2020, they were sent as missionaries to Malindi, Kenya, to reach communities with no access to the Gospel.
Today, Borad and his wife lead a disciple-making movement in Kenya’s Serengeti region. They’ve planted two churches, launched two Bible schools linked to Okoa Refuge, and host Discovery Bible study groups to share God’s Word. Their work continues to grow, bringing hope and faith to those who’ve never heard it.
WANYANA RITA LINDA TO CHUKWANI ZANZIBAR
Linda is the oldest of six children, raised in a Catholic family in Uganda that knew little about Jesus. Seeking love and security, she married young to a Muslim man, who passed away in 2006. He left her with two children: a son, Godwin (now 16), and a daughter (now 20). After his death, Linda was consumed by fear and loneliness, which took a heavy toll on her health.
But her life changed when she moved from Uganda’s capital, Kampala, to the small town of Kalisizo. There, through the outreach of Kalisizo Pentecostal Church, she discovered faith in Jesus. After converting, Linda began having visions of carrying light to dark places, sensing God’s call to ministry—though she didn’t know how it would unfold. A deep desire grew in her to share God’s love with others, especially those far from Him.
Linda joined her church’s worship team and volunteered in evangelism, prison outreach, and hospital ministries. Her calling grew clearer after earning a two-year Bible diploma from Okoa Bible School in 2020. Through her teachers, she connected with Way of Salvation Church’s mission program. In 2021, she completed a course on global ministry, excelling in her studies. Today, Linda is serving as a long-term missionary in Zanzibar, bringing hope to unreached Muslim communities. Her story is one of transformation—from grief and fear to a life poured out for others.
LWANGA JOSEPH TENDO TO LINEAR CHAD
Joseph Lwanga is a devoted minister, husband, and father. He lives with his wife, Nambooze Grace, and their five children. Joseph grew up in a Catholic family, but his life took a difficult turn when his father passed away when he was just 14 years old. After this loss, he moved to Coventry to live with parish priests, hoping to find stability and purpose.
As a teenager, Joseph faced relentless spiritual struggles, what he describes as “demonic attacks.” Despite praying fervently to Mary and the saints, he felt no relief. These battles haunted him for years, leaving him desperate for answers. Everything changed on August 21, 2009. At age 21, Joseph traveled to Masaka Town, where he stumbled upon a lively Pentecostal crusade. There, he heard the Gospel for the first time and learned about a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. That night, he prayed to accept Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Instantly, the torment that had plagued him for years vanished. He felt free, healed, and finally at peace.
This radical transformation ignited a fire in Joseph to serve the God who rescued him. He joined the Amazing Life Miracle Center Church, where he began sharing his testimony and teaching the Bible in communities far and wide. In 2019, his calling deepened when he attended a Discovery Bible Study training hosted by Way of Salvation Church. The sessions awakened a new passion: reaching people who had never heard the Gospel.
Eager to prepare, Joseph enrolled in OKOA Bible School and completed the *Perspectives on World Christian Movement* course. Through these experiences, he grew confident that God was leading him to serve as a missionary.
Today, Joseph and his family have answered that call. They’ve been sent as full-time missionaries to Chad, a region with many unreached communities, to share hope, teach the Bible, and live out the faith that changed Joseph’s life forever. His story is one of resilience, a journey from despair to purpose, proving that even the darkest struggles can lead to a life of light and service.
NAMUSISI ALLEN, YUMBE DISTRICT, NOTHERN UGANDA
Allen is the last born among eight (8) children in her family, though raised up by her elder sister after the death of her parents at a tender age. She graduated with a diploma in social development in 2015 and by God’s grace, she got an opportunity to work at Okoa Refuge Masaka as a volunteer for one year in 2017. And thereafter she was retained as a social worker, she later joined Okoa Bible School where she completed her two-year’s diploma course in theology in 2019.
Allen received the gift of salvation in the early months of 2017 and since then God has been at work in her life and stirring up a desire to share the love of God with the people. She joined the children’s ministry, evangelism, prison ministry, and mercy ministry at Way of Salvation Church Masaka which helped her to grow spiritually yearning to bring the glory of God amongst all peoples.
Through her dedication and service to the Lord, she felt compelled to go to the mission field among the unreached people of the world; she took on the perspective on the world Christian movement course which she completed in 2019. As her desire to share the love of Christ with the unreached peoples grew; she was sent to Yumbe in 2020 to start a Disciple-making movement among the Alinga people. The movement is going on well and she’s believing God for a church plant as soon as possible for the glory of God among these communities.
MOSES OBOYI LOKUNI, AFAR REGION, ETHIOPIA
Missionary Moses Oboyi Lokuni was born on April 27, 1990, in Iganga, Bugumba A Parish. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lochap Joseph and is currently based in Iganga. Lokuni is married and blessed with six children—three boys and three girls.
Lokuni Moses is a devoted born-again Christian and a dedicated pastor. He has been actively engaged in ministry for many years, including seven years of evangelism through door-to-door outreach and twelve years of active church ministry. His unwavering commitment to spreading the Gospel demonstrates his deep passion for missions.
His missionary work includes a “test run” mission in Yumbe, where he was guided by Allen Namusisi, an experienced missionary. During this mission, he actively participated in preaching, evangelism, and other outreach activities. His zeal and dedication to ministry are evident in his tireless efforts to serve God and others.
Additionally, Lokuni pursued theological education at OKOA Bible School in Iganga, where he completed a two-year course from February 23, 2021, to May 5, 2023. He also underwent intensive training under the Way of Salvation Church through the Perspective Course. This program equips missionaries with the necessary skills and understanding required for the mission field. It provides insight into the importance of reaching unreached people groups and preparing for the challenges of missionary work. Through this training, Lokuni has gained a strong foundation for his mission work and a deep commitment to serving others.
Beyond his ministry work, Lokuni also works as a hawker, selling goods to provide for his family’s basic needs. His dedication to both his ministry and his family reflects his strong work ethic and commitment to his responsibilities.
YATTA SATIMON JOHN, NUBA MOUNTAINS, SUDAN
Yatta Satimon John is a South Sudanese missionary under the Way of Salvation Church. Commissioned on July 23, 2023, he is currently serving in the Nuba Mountains, Sudan.
A devoted husband and father of four, Yatta is passionate about youth and children, actively advocating for their well-being. He is a trained teacher at Alpha Nursery and Primary School and holds a Diploma in Social Work and Social Administration. He has also earned various certifications in Transformational Leadership, Trauma Healing, Radio Apprenticeship, Gender-Based Violence Awareness, Children and Youth Ministry, and Entrepreneurship.
With extensive experience in both community service and ministry, Yatta has held leadership roles, including Director of SAIDU Community Service, Missions Coordinator at Mount Zion Ministry, Missions and Evangelism Team Leader at Kulupi Worship Centre, Programming Coordinator at Blooming Desert Ministry, and Head of Finance at South Sudan Christian Outreach Ministry.
Above all, he is dedicated to reaching the unreached with the Gospel, driven by a deep passion for ministry and service to God.
